The " Chinese Society of Austin " held a 2009 Chinese Health Fair on June 13, 2009 at Murchison Middle School, Austin, Texas. It was very successful with a huge turnout of over 300 patronages. People lined up by 8:30 in the morning to do the blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetic screening.We invited 30 service providers from various types of professions. Western M.D.'s, Chinese acupunturists, Natonwide insurance agent, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Cosco, Skin Care & beautification consultant, sleep disorder consultant, obesity consultant, Austin Police Dept, Austin Fire Dept, EMS and many more ...

Special thanks to Saheli with a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to sponsor our Health Fair and NAAO ( Network of Asian American Organization ) to coorganize this fair with us.
