The 2008 AAACC ( Austin Asian American Chamber of Commerce ) joint regions Symposium was held in Austin on October 4th, 2008 at the Austin Hyatt Regency. It was a large scale event with representatives from Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Honorable guests and distinguished speakers were invited.  In the evening, a banquet was held in the Grand Ballroom, the theme is " Discover Asia/China "  and CSA (Chinese Society of Austin) had gotten a few limited tickets to attend the banquet. We had a spectacular time there, meeting old and new friends and learned about the planning of AARC - Asian American Resource Center which is under preliminary plan and development at this moment. The Center will be located around 183 and I-35 area. A huge complex will be built consists of conference rooms, sports facilities as well as gardens, meditation and entertainment areas. There will also be classrooms for holding Asian culture and language classes, martial art and culinary classes etc. No doubt that it will be a blessing to Austin's Asian-American community and anyone of Asian descent. Thanks to all the financial sponsors and supporters to build this AARC, turn a dreamland into a reality.
