On December 3, 2008, our Chinese Society of Austin ( CSA ) was invited by ACTA ( Asian Construction and Trade Association ) for a dinner reception. Great food were brought in with Chinese Roast Duck, BBQ Pork, Egg Rolls, variety of Dim Sum, Veggies and fruits etc. ACTA Chair Mahesh Naik gave a brief introduction on ACTA. Their two distinguished board members Thong Vo and Sung Cho received awards to recognize their contribution and service. They both gave a speech to share their life and business experience. Their ups and down rollercoaster ride and now, they are quite successful Asians in America. Something, we may like to learn their philosophy, their strategy and practice of making a living on a western soil.

Following the reception, CSA held its first meeting after the election of a new President. President Judy Liang conducted and orchestrated our meeting. We wish her best of fortune and spirit as the new leader of Chinese Society of Austin for the next two years
